JUDGING: All eligible entries submitted on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using #MichelinQuest will be entered into the Contest.  The top ten photos (“Finalists”), as judged by an internal committee will receive a set of MICHELIN® tires valued up to $1,000.00.   Entries will be judged on the following criteria with up to twenty five (25) points available for each criterion:  (a) Use of the Michelin Man tire pressure gauge trackable, (b) Creativity, and (c) expression of the spirit of adventure

Ten (10) potential Finalists will be determined by highest cumulative scores for all criteria awarded by the judges.

In case of a tie for the last Finalist (the lowest cumulative score to be included in the category of Finalists), the tie between those entries will be broken by cumulative scores awarded for Applicability to, and depiction of, Geocaching Experience.  If tie continues, then ties will be broken by the entry with highest cumulative scores in Applicability to, and depiction of, Geocaching Experience, and Creativity.  If tie cannot be broken, tied entries will be evaluated by a new judge according to the original criteria, and the tied entry with highest cumulative score by the new judge (and the voting) will be declared a potential Finalist.  Potential Finalists for each Initial Judging Period will be determined on or about the above stated “Winner Chosen” date for that Initial Judging Period from all eligible entries received for that Initial Judging Period.

5. FINALIST JUDGING: The potential Finalists will be evaluated to confirm they are not employed by Michelin North America, Inc., or one of the partners as expressed above.  The ten (10) potential Finalist photos will be shared on the Michelin USA Facebook page where there will be an open voting period for one week.   The voting period will begin and end when indicated by Sponsor on the Michelin USA Facebook page.

The potential Grand Prize winner will be the Finalist photo that receives the most “likes”.  In the event of a tie, the voting period will be extended for 2 days to allow for additional voting.

Those identified as potential Finalists are encouraged to share their photo and encourage their friends, family and social networks to visit the Michelin USA Facebook page to “like” the photo.

6. FINALIST NOTIFICATION: The ten (10) potential Finalists will each be notified via the social media channel through which they submitted their entry on or about January 15, 2015.  All potential Finalists will be required to complete, sign and return within a specified time an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release and may further be required to provide additional documents, such as but not limited to releases from any and all persons depicted in the entry photograph and/or the photographer of the photo.  If Affidavits/Releases and/or additional documents and releases are not received by the date stated on the notification, or if any notification is undeliverable, or if a potential Finalist is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, the potential Finalist will be disqualified.  The Grand Prize winner will be determined on or about 1/15/15, and will be notified by regular or express mail, on or about 1/31/15.
